Future Chigulu, the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Officer at Ulalo, is a key player in the organization's pursuit of data-driven impact. With a strong background in data analytics and a passion for improving service delivery, the youthful Future brings a unique blend of technical expertise and creative problem-solving to the team.

The talented lad joined Ulalo just four months ago and swiftly hit the ground running, leaving everyone in awe with his remarkable work ethic and dedication.

In this latest blog, our Communications team caught up with Future Chigulu to  delve deeper into his journey with Ulalo.

Tell us about yourself and your role within Ulalo? 

I am Future Chigulu, equipped with a BSc in Mathematical Sciences education, majoring in Statistics and Computing. Proficient in Python, R, SQL, PowerBI, and Excel, I effectively communicate complex findings to diverse audiences. As the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Officer, my responsibilities include ensuring data quality, conducting insightful data analysis, and developing real-time visualizations and databases for various projects. 

What are some fun facts about you that might not be found on your resume? 

Beyond my data analytics prowess, I am a self-taught graphic designer. Designing not only sparks my creativity but also helps me think more innovatively, fostering a dynamic approach to problem-solving.

What initially drew you to Ulalo? 

As a tech enthusiast, Ulalo's focus on technology-driven projects drew me in. I'm grateful for the opportunity to work in an environment aligned with my interests. My role has been an enriching experience, allowing me to grow as a young professional in the field of Monitoring and Evaluation. 

Whats Your Most Rewarding Aspect of Your Work At Ulalo?

What I find particularly fulfilling about my time at Ulalo is the organization's unwavering dedication to continuous learning. I've been fortunate to engage in a variety of capacity-building initiatives, including informative webinars focused on M&E and other technological areas, significantly contributing to my professional development. 

Share Your Accomplishments That You Are Proud of At The Moment?

One of my recent achievements that I am particularly proud of is the successful development of a comprehensive Monitoring Dashboard. The dashboard has the potential to streamline our monitoring procedures and enhance the measurement of key performance indicators, representing a significant step forward in our data-driven approach.

A significant team memory for me was the staff onboarding and retreat event at Chatonda Lodge, where valuable opportunities for learning, networking, and team building were presented.
