ULALO MAKES IMPACTFUL PRESENCE AT DAY OF THE AFRICAN CHILD COMMEMORATIONs

The Solidarity Match at Pherembe brings the community together, showcasing unity and support for a common cause.

Ulalo made a significant impact at this year’s Day of the African Child commemoration held at Mpherembe Primary school in Mzimba. The event, organized by the Mzimba North District Child Protection Committee, brought together stakeholders from various sectors to advocate for the rights and well-being of children across Malawi.

Ulalo not only participated but also played a vital role in supporting the event, creating a vibrant space for engagement through their pavilion.

The pavilion became a focal point of the event, drawing attention to Ulalo’s efforts in collaboration with the government to implement transformative programs, such as the BEFIT initiative, which focuses on improving education outcomes in the region.

Authorities flocked to the Ulalo pavilion to learn more about the organization's initiatives and how they are driving positive change.

One of the notable highlights was the visit from Inkosi Mpherembe, a traditional leader in the area, who praised Ulalo’s work.

"I am proud of what Ulalo is achieving for the young people in our communities," said Inkosi Mpherembe. "Their commitment to empowering our children through education and sustainable development is commendable and inspiring."

The event was a chance for Ulalo to connect directly with the community, share success stories, and discuss future plans.

Aaron Manda, Ulalo’s District Project Supervisor for the BEFIT project in Mzimba North, emphasized the importance of such events in fostering collaboration and community support.

“It is always inspiring to see the community's enthusiasm and support for our programs,” said Manda. “Events like the Day of the African Child remind us of the importance of collaboration in achieving our shared goal of empowering young people to reach their full potential.”

The organization’s presence at the event underscored its commitment to creating a society where children and young people thrive and become responsible, productive members of society. The positive reception at the pavilion reflects a growing recognition of Ulalo's role in shaping the future of education and community development in Malawi.
